Mugwort, Dream sage
Length: approx. 10 cm
Dream sage was used by the Chumash tribe of North America. These charming hunting associations were sailor tribes that sailed across the sea in specially designed boats to hunt whales. It is estimated that these natives have used dream sage in their healing and ritual practices for 13,000 years. For them, this plant was known as the ‘dream sage’. The herb was used for LUCID and GOOD DREAMS as good dreams were considered to be an essential aspect of normal human functioning!
But that’s not all.
The Anglo-Saxon tribes believed that this herb was one of the nine sacred herbs given to the world by the god Woden.
Dream sage was a popular ingredient in “Gruitu” beer – it was used to flavor beer even before hops became popular!
In China, bouquets of dream sage were hung at home during the Dragon Festival to prevent evil spirits from entering.
The Chinese also use this plant to make “moxe sticks”. These sticks are then heated directly on the skin for therapeutic purposes, a technique called “moxa”. Basically, it is a form of acupuncture without needles.
It was also known as “Sailor’s Tobacco” (sailors ’tobacco) as it was used as an alternative when sailors at sea ran out of real tobacco!
Some users report relatively mild results, while others experience fully agitated psychedelic journeys during sleep! As with most herbs, the results primarily determine how well you connect with the plant in your heart and how patient you are with it.
The most commonly reported results are: improved dreams, increased vividness of dreams and even lucid dreams, increased creativity, and sometimes increased color of dreams.
Sage connects us to the primordial energy of Mother Earth. It is used in shamanic cleansing rituals where sage is heated and releases holy smoke. It encourages the acquisition of visions and expels “negative” energy, and entities that would like to harm us. Scientific research has even shown that 94% of the bacteria in a room are broken down after burning sage.
Any burning of sage can also be used as a natural defense against insects such as moths and mosquitoes.
Lighting sage is a cleansing method that also changes your state of consciousness.
Sage has a pungent, very pungent odor that can be described as “spicy”. However, not everyone finds this smell pleasant, and it can be too strong for them. You can use it to cleanse your aura, space, your objects …
Before you use sage, thank it and connect with it with your heart energy.
A bundle of sage contains leaves that are dried and tied together. Due to this method of binding, the roll is very easy to light. As soon as the top of the roll lights up, you can blow into it to glow or swing a pen. They will immediately recognize his special scent and the power of his medicine.
The wrap is tied with a string made of 100% cotton.
